Naperville Smart Grid Initiative Meter Installation Reaches Halfway Point
More Than 28,800 Meters Have Been Installed Since January 2012
The City of Naperville announced today that the Citywide installation of more than 57,000 smart meters is now 50 percent complete. This meter installation is part of the Naperville Smart Grid Initiative (NSGI), an upgrade of the City’s $360 million electric network to provide more efficient, cost-effective and reliable service to customers and empower them with more information on their energy usage.
