Municipal Election Petitions for Candidacy Available Tuesday, July 30

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Beginning Tuesday, July 30, 2024, petitions for candidacy for the 2025 Naperville municipal election are available in the Community Services Department at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. Petitions may begin being circulated for signature on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Up for election in 2025 are four-year terms of four City Council positions. To qualify as a candidate, you must be a registered voter of the City of Naperville and have resided within the City’s corporate limits for at least one year. Petitions for nomination are filed with the Community Services Department. The filing period will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2024, through Monday, October 28, 2024, excluding weekend days.

A Consolidated Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, if there are more than 16 candidates for Council. The Consolidated Election will take place on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
