Municipal Officers Electoral Board Hearing Taking Place Nov. 13 at 1:30 p.m.
The City of Naperville informs residents and interested parties that the Municipal Officers Electoral Board will convene to hear objections to two candidates’ nomination petitions for the upcoming 2025 Consolidated General Election.
The hearing will take place beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. The hearing will be broadcast live on government access TV station WCNC (Ch. 6 – Astound, Ch. 10 – Comcast, Ch. 99 – AT&T) and streamed live via the City’s website at www.naperville.il.us. The local electoral board, whose members are Mayor Scott Wehrli, Naperville City Clerk Dawn Portner and Naperville City Council member Patrick Kelly, will hear evidence regarding objections filed on Nov. 4 by three Naperville residents as to the City Council nomination petitions of Nag Jaiswal and Farid Shabazz to be voted upon at the Consolidated General Election on April 1, 2025. The electoral board will evaluate the objections and render a determination as to their merits. The public and media are welcome to attend this proceeding.
