Naperville Police Investigate Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on Naper Boulevard Near 87th Street

On Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at approximately 7:01 p.m., the Naperville Police and Fire departments responded to a single-vehicle crash involving injuries near the intersection of Naper Boulevard and 87th Street. 

The initial investigation indicates that the blue Toyota Scion driven by a 51-year-old male from Lisle was southbound on Naper Boulevard approaching 87th Street when it crossed northbound lanes of traffic, left the roadway, and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Due to the nature of the incident, crash investigators from the Naperville Police Traffic Unit are investigating. The identity of the driver is being withheld pending the ongoing investigation.
