Naperville Police Investigate Serious Injury Traffic Crash at Naper Boulevard and Culpepper Drive
On June 15, 2024, at 3:46 a.m., Naperville Police Department and Naperville Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the intersection of S. Naper Boulevard and Culpepper Drive for a traffic crash with injuries. Officers arrived on scene and determined that a 2021 blue Kia Forte had left the roadway and struck a tree. Trapped inside the Kia was the driver, a 20-year-old female out of Lisle. The driver was eventually freed and transported to a local hospital with significant injuries. A small dog was located inside the Kia and transported to a local emergency veterinarian hospital, where it unfortunately succumbed to its injuries.
Due to the nature of the crash, traffic crash investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene. The roadway was closed until 8:20 a.m.
