Naperville Police Investigate Shooting on Testa Drive
At approximately 8:48 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Testa Drive for the report of a person who had just been shot. Police arrived on scene and located an 18-year-old male from Naperville laying on a grassy area outside an apartment building suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest. Naperville Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he is currently being treated for his injury, which is not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers established a perimeter and located a person of interest, an 18-year-old male from Naperville, who is currently being detained.
The preliminary investigation indicates the two men knew each other, and this was not a random act.
