Naperville Police Investigate Fatal Traffic Crash on Southeast Side

On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at approximately 11:10 a.m., the Naperville Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the intersection of 95th Street and Plainfield/Naperville Road for a crash involving two vehicles.

The initial investigation indicated that a white 2019 Chrysler Pacifica was traveling southbound on Plainfield/Naperville Road and into the intersection at 95th Street. A blue 2007 Dodge Caravan was traveling northbound on Plainfield/Naperville Road and attempted to turn left onto westbound 95th Street. Both vans collided in the intersection. The driver of the Dodge Caravan was transported to a local hospital with apparent minor injuries. The passenger from the Dodge Caravan was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Due to the nature of the crash, traffic crash reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene to investigate. Portions of Plainfield/Naperville Road and 95th Street were closed until approximately 3:30 p.m. due to the investigation.
