Naperville Seeks Input on Shaping the Future of its Public Art

Survey Open Through Oct. 31

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The City of Naperville is inviting residents, people who work in the city and visitors to help shape the future of public art in the community by participating in an online survey. Open until 4 p.m. on Oct. 31, the survey gathers feedback on preferences for public art styles, themes, and locations, guiding future projects that align with the community’s vision.

“Public art shapes the future of our community,” says Shannon Greene Robb, Special Events and Community Arts Program (SECA) commissioner. “It sparks conversation, tells our evolving story, and creates a more vibrant, inspiring Naperville. We're excited to hear your ideas for new public art. Please share the survey with friends and neighbors to help shape this vision.”

This survey has less than 20 questions and takes about five minutes to complete. Naperville is using Polco, a civic engagement platform used by local governments, to conduct the survey. After the survey closes, the results will be posted on the city's website in November.

“We want to hear from everyone – residents, people who work in Naperville and people that visit the city – regardless of their interest level in public art,” said City Clerk Dawn Portner. “Different perspectives are valuable, and the survey will help Naperville create a public art plan that resonates with everyone.”
