Naperville Police Investigate Fatal Traffic Crash at 103rd Street and Book Road
On Feb. 10, 2025, at the approximate time of 9:37 p.m., Naperville Police Department and Naperville Fire Department personnel responded to the intersection of 103rd Street and Book Road for a report of a traffic crash with injuries. Officers arrived on scene and discovered a blue 2008 Infiniti G35 in the backyards approximately 100 feet east of the T-intersection. The driver of the Infiniti was identified as Patrick M. Larkin, a 59-year-old male from Naperville. Mr. Larkin was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the Infiniti was traveling eastbound on 103rd Street when it proceeded straight through the intersection at Book Road, crashed through the fence on the east side of the intersection, and came to rest on its hood.
Due to the nature of the crash, traffic crash investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene.
