3. Solar Compliance Form

The homeowner/contractor must submit a solar compliance form with the electrical permit application. This informs the Electric Utility about the type of system being installed, while ensuring that it meets industry standards and is a subset of the net metering guidelines. The system must be owned by the property owner, not through a power purchase agreement (PPA), a financial agreement in which panels are owned by a solar company rather than the property owner.
