Block Parties/Parades
The Naperville Fire Department will visit your neighborhood block party to provide an educational presentation to both parents and children. Families are welcome to tour the vehicles after the presentation, as time allows.
When scheduling a parade:
The parade coordinator will designate someone 21-years or older who will be the Grand Marshal.
The Grand Marshal will:
- Be placed behind the fire apparatus
- Remain a minimum of 20 feet from the apparatus
- All other participants will remain behind the Grand Marshal
This is imperative to ensure the safety of all the parade participants.
Fire crews are considered "in-service" during the block party/parade and may need to leave at a moment's notice if dispatched to an emergency call.
A minimum of 10 days notice is requested to ensure our ability to participate in your event.
Schedule
To schedule a block party visit or a parade, please send an email to NFDPublicEducation@naperville.il.us. Please include the time you are requesting and location of the party.
